Mridu Bhakti Yatra 2024
December 9-21 with Madhu
Join us on our spiritual pilgrimage where we will sing our way up to the foothills of Dev Bhumi and end in the healing waters of the holy Ganga. This will be a small intimate group of bhakats, so we can practice in close association and stay in the heart of Sadhana.
This year, Madhu will lead a small group to some of his favorite places in North India, from Delhi to the peaceful Kainchi Dham, home to the ashram of Neem Karoli Baba, then through the mountains to Rishikesh. This Yatra is for seekers who are familiar with Bhakti Yoga and want to deepen their practice on the path of devotion.
Most days will start with early meditation, chai, and journaling, then ease into daily activities like visiting temples, offering kirtan, or participating in other bhakti practices. We will care for our bodies with yoga asana and eat nourishing, pure vegetarian foods. We ask that retreat participants this year be even more gentle and open to the mystery, bringing an added element of softness.
Does a full pranam into the gentle hands of the divine sound like your kind of retreat? Do you want to sing kirtan all night into the early morning? Do you want to look into the eyes of a stranger and fall so deeply in love? If so, contact us, and we will see if this is a good fit.
Sometimes we will stay at hotels, sometimes ashrams, and sometimes guest houses. If you are unsure of Indian standards, this retreat may not be for you. There will be no drugs or alcohol of any kind. We encourage limited to zero cell phone use and no computers. Some portions of the retreat will be in silence, but always in a loving embrace.
We are limiting this group to 6 people. We are on the final details of cost, but we are trying to work with a sliding scale around 3333 USD. This includes all travel, rooms, food, etc. This does not include airfare or clothes.
